Before her husband was sent to prison, Liz suffered from regular abuse. Now, with the help of her best friend Patti, she is free to start a new life. Once Liz seems to be on the mend, Patti travels home to her family ranch in Texas. She has a plan – to match-make Liz with Paul, the big Texan cowboy. With her fresh start and new love interest, Liz soon begins her journey back to happiness – but memories are triggered and Liz slips back to the timid, frightened girl she was before. However, Pauls love for her is so strong that he is willing to do whatever it takes in order for her to overcome her demons, both past and present.

About the Author

I am 47 years old, married for the last 28 years with 3 grown up sons and two young granddaughters. I am a Civil Servant and work in a fairly high pressured environment. I enjoy reading and listening to music. I write to let my vivid imagination run free. I like to see the characters develop and put little twists in the story. I would love to see a world where everyone is a friend and conflict and hurt will end. I have a good sense of humour and am a fairly calm person. I usually only get stressed over my family. I live with a disability that prevents me from doing some things, but I always try to smile through the pain and have the philosophy that if I cannot do something, I am not meant to do it. I have a very supportive family especially my husband, who does not mind when I have a moan.
